About Nepal Day Festival

Nepal Day Festival is an event organized by the Nepalese community of Japan to strengthen Japan/Nepal relationship, exhibit and promote Nepalese products, trade, cultural activities for the economic, cultural & social growths and to bring together many Nepalis and friends of Nepal who are living in different parts of Japan. The inaugural Nepal Day Festival was held in Hibiya Park – fountain square, Tokyo, on September 8~9, 2007. Over 12,000 visitors enjoyed the Nepalese cultural dance programs, Nepalese food & drinks, children games, Himalayan astrology, handicrafts exhibition cum sales, traditional fashion parade, seminars and free legal consultations.

For the second time, this year too, Nepal Day Festival will be held in Hibiya Park, a central green oasis in Tokyo City amidst colorful festoons and typical friendly Nepalese ambience with a backdrop of high sky-scrapers. Visitors of all age group will enjoy good Nepalese music, food, drinks and fun-filled activities throughout the day.

ネパールデーフェスティバルとは？

ネパールデーフェスティバルは日本にあるネパール関係コミュニティーが企画するイベントで、日本とネパールの友好関係をより深めるため に、ネパール産製品の展示・紹介・販売、ダンスなどのカルチャープロクラムの実演などを通して、経済・文化・社会的つながりの拡大を目標とし、日本各地に 散らばるネパール人たちやネパール好きの方々が一堂に集合できるイベントとなっております。 昨年（2007年）9月8日9日に日比谷公園大噴水広場で第1回フェスティバルが開かれました。 準備期間が短かったにも係わらず12,000人以上のご来場者が、カルチャーダンスプログラム・伝統料理＆ドリンク・古くから伝わるボードゲーム・占星 術・ハンディクラフトショッピング・伝統衣装のファッションショー・観光セミナー・無料法律相談などを楽しんでいらっしゃいました。

ネパールデーフェスティバルは、今年もまさに東京の中心グリーンオアシスである日比谷公園で、高層ビルを背景にカラフルな店舗が並び、 ネパール人のもつ親しみやすい雰囲気の中で開催されます。ご来場者はお年寄りからお子様まで、日本に居ながらネパールでの1日を 満喫することができるでしょう。
